“for more information, please reread”

When my husband and I met in ’93, I definitely had monsters under my bed. tsunami

We came from very different worlds. But he was the first person who took me seriously about the issues I was having. And he didn’t think I was crazy. He thought I was “intriguing”! He just finished a masters degree in animal biochemistry, but somewhere along the way, he decided to go to Seminary instead. That’s another story in itself…but needless to say, his science background, and his farming background, have come in very handy for his ministry.

Anyway, we have quite different musical tastes. But this is one song we both like.

and in honour of the farming life, which I have great respect for, I’ll just leave this helpful reminder I stole right here:

  1. I must have somehow got on the right page, as I just wrote that your About is “intriguing”–and that is as your husband found you, so much more flattering (not to mention sensitive, insightful) than “crazy”. I’m happy for you both 🙂

    1. What an interesting comment, thank you so much. I wasn’t thinking anything particular like that at all. I just started writing an intro to the song, and it went on a little bit longer than I had planned 🙂

    1. This really warms my heart, thank you. I was not intending to write this at all. I just like this song, started writing an intro and then this all came out.
I really appreciate the compliment as I honestly don’t wish to bore anyone.
Plus, that poster makes me laugh so hard, I wanted to share it lol.

      1. I am so happy you were willing to share it. So, are you telling me you are a rambler too? You don’t bore us at all. It’s called original, unique and entertaining. Credit where credit is due! I like that you laugh so easily!

        1. Awww Charles, thank you, that means so much to me. I really do wonder sometimes if I am (boring that is). And yes, I can ramble!
I definitely laugh easily…that’s my challenge, not laughing at things that shouldn’t be laughed at, in regards to myself I mean. I don’t take myself too seriously, which I think is a good thing, but there are times when I needed to, and I should do still, so I’m working on that.

    1. Aww thank you! haha that was the scientist in him, the questions he had like I was a science experiment. I laugh when I think of it now! We were so different, I raved on about evil corporations and the importance of organics etc and his dream had been to work for Monsanto!! haha I thought I would never see him again.
Thanks for reading and commenting xo

  2. That’s pretty cool your husband is in ministry. I’ve briefly considering going into that field but find God doesn’t necessarily have to be taught in a traditional church. I actually online ministry is an interesting area to go…

    1. Really? That’s very interesting.
Yes, there are many ways to vocationally share God’s love. I mean, I believe that’s how God works, hidden in all of the every day ways we take care of each other. Each way has its important place.
Thanks so much for the comment!
