1. So the spider warned the fly about the scorpion? Sounds like something the spider would do…
The alternative being you got lost in the WP labyrinth and thought you were on a nursery rhyme page…
      (you know I jest)

  1. Made me smile. I adore metaphors and such about it being “too late”. The epitome of regret revolves around the notion. I don’t necessarily believe in it myself.

    1. Thank you!
I think it’s contextual. I speak for myself, being slow to understand when the warnings were there, for different reasons, thinking you know someone, denial etc. Some stings are necessary, and hopefully it all ends up in some kind of growth. Sometimes, it really is unnecessary pain. I don’t believe everything happens for a reason. Some things happen because we live in a broken world and people do shitful things.
In this case, the sting wouldn’t have been so powerful if she really listened to him.

      1. And I suppose at this point I have to elaborate some lol. I know that there are definitely things that we realize with our simple minds that we can’t change, alter or do over again. But too late implies negativity, encouraging regret, sadness, bitterness, melancholy etc. I believe that it’s all in the way we make the effort to perceive something. We should view things as learning, as gaining anything, as experience, as insight etc. with correct perspective one might never say ‘it’s too late’ for these abstract non literal feelings anymore.
There is no imaginary divine interference in our daily lives to give us reason to say ‘everything happens for a reason’. (obviously just my opinion lol) Yes that’s a literal accurate statement yet the reasons aren’t divine or celestial, there due to actions. Every action has a reaction even if w don’t always see it or the action.
        I’ll shh now lol

        1. Haha oh my lovely friend, you can say as much or as little as you wish!!
And I hope I’ve understood you, some things honestly take me a while.
I agree about the perception of things, to try to learn etc and not give the wrong level of negative power to abstract, non literal feelings, but I do believe some things are regretful and painful, and we need to grieve it in a healthy way before we can move on and learn from it etc. I think that’s one of the biggest issues in our culture, not grieving properly.
I guess part of it is just speaking practically, well in my mind haha, and naming something for what it is.
And you know I absolutely believe in the divine, but not a divine micro manager…haha I just thought of this Jack Handey quote from years ago, “the other day I was opening a can of worms and I thought to myself, ‘what the hell am I doing?'” Lol. There really are a lot of conversations in here, which I love โค
You are always welcome to say what you wish. I just wish it could be over coffee, or beer or something. One day!! ๐Ÿ˜

    2. How funny is this…I was going through some FB posts from a couple years ago and I had shared a meme that said, “it’s never too late to follow your dreams. Unless your dream was to be a child actor. In which case, yes, it’s too late.” Lol.
