a tangled up necklace of pearls

quietly

the ground

roller-coasted beneath

shyly

the sound

tried to leave its bequeath

in the hope

it would heal

in the last

On a second note, the pearl necklace title made me giggle….lol. Sigh, a girl with her mind in the gutter. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Great poetry Vanessa and any family who has dealt with this issue will connect with each word. Haven’t heard this song in ages.

Well done, Vanessa. ๐Ÿ’™ The feeling in this piece touched me, but perhaps not the full depth because it’s not something I can relate to personally. It comes across that you do.

Hi. No, I’ve had some other things going on, recovering from one of the very nasty, persistent flus going around here, being one of those things.
Thanks so much for the visit, though ๐Ÿ™‚

Get well soon. Seems to be in London too but thankfully I haven’t had it. Think I’ve only had proper flu once and I thought I was going to die. Hope to read some more of your work soon.
