she dreamt whispering…

harps in the desert.

She bled the ache

for unplayed notes

on the horizon.

She tremored between here and there,

filled with a terrible,

beautiful, unknowing

that she was learning to play.

I have many followers, and I do my best to follow back, so I read hundreds of poem every week. It will be hard to find lines as awesome as these:

    She bled the ache
    for unplayed notes
    on the horizon.

Really? I had a lot of different thoughts when i wrote it, after a couple of intense conversations with friends, like
the profundity in the “mundane”, or, during difficult times.

Thanks always for your thoughts Ivor. โค๏ธ
I wanted it to be a bit open. I had in mind a few different things. Maybe it’s also the fear that you aren’t learning, or contributing, or doing anything particularly significant, and the discovery that that isn’t true, beautiful things were happening.
