Thanks always for your thoughts Ivor. ❤️
I wanted it to be a bit open. I had in mind a few different things. Maybe it’s also the fear that you aren’t learning, or contributing, or doing anything particularly significant, and the discovery that that isn’t true, beautiful things were happening.

Vanessa!! I miss you my friend. And when I read this poem I was completely blown away. I mean, speechless, breathless, transported by your words. This is not hyperbole, I utterly completely adore every word of this poem.

    “harps in the desert.

    She bled the ache

    for unplayed notes”

I have bled exactly that ache. And your final lines – about learning to play the unknown…. I feel like I could be the protagonist in this poem, it resonates in me that deeply. WOW!!! I am going to save this one to savour again and again.
    Xoxo.

      Hello dear Rachel!
How lovely that you visited when I’ve been so neglectful of WP. Thank you!
I’ve had intentions to be on here more and it just hasn’t worked out. It made my day to see your beautiful comment!
