pep talk to myself

It’s cold but I ate some ice cream, coffee covered ice cream, and had a memory of the way we used to fill up on coffee beans from that one coffee shop in Colorado before hiking in the mountains, do you remember that? We’d stuff some in our pockets for the descent as well.

Or maybe that was just me.
You have that awful coffee hating gene mutation that I still pray there will be therapy for one day.

And here I am, on flat land, loading up on creamy caffeinated bliss for the descent I seem to be on. But I remind myself, I have lived long enough to know that this world is a circle hanging in space – which way is up? (We do have a world map with the correct orientation of Australia at the top, but I digress. Kind of).
Those descents can be deceiving.

I’m having more ice cream. Please join me any time.

yes I did! i joke but maybe its true, we ingest something cold so our tummies will counteract the coldness and warm up and our heart pumps and we get toastier. an Asian myth probably?! And my heart adores yours. hugs to you!

    Lovely little trip there Vanessa.
I too have always enjoyed the floating icecream scoops floating in coffee. Its a great combination.
On the second point of the possition of Austrailia on the globe, I agree!!! I have never been able to understand why it’s demonstrated the way it is. If we are round and spinning in space then who decided what’s on top or to the right or bottom. These are questions for bigger minds then I hehe.

      Hi! Thank you!
OOOO yes, Affogato, one of my favourite things. I just didn’t feel like actually making a coffee…the sprinkles were just perfect.
These are good questions I do not know the answer to. I’m guessing it had everything to do with what the known world was at the time of the first cartographers…but then, ancient people were so much smarter than they are given credit for so who knows how they did it. Electro magnetic field?…but the earth’s polarity changes doesn’t it? I really don’t have a clue. ha!

Really? it wasn’t showing on my tablet…hmmm that is good to know, as it has happened a few times with other ones as well. Some people may have received all kinds of emojis from me I didn’t realise I was sending hahahaha
