She admired him as they stood on the bridge – one of their favourite haunts – puzzled, once again, by his mournful looks at all that passed beneath,
while he, unknowingly, created new ripples (a quiet, reverenced opening of space for the beauty he dropped).
She ran downstream to set traps of parchment.
Poetic! I really liked the image of these two standing on a bridge. It can stand for so many things.

Hi B. Thank you!
And yes.
I really was thinking of other things when I started writing, but then this came from somewhere…there must have been a bridge in between I guess haha 🙄 my excuse is that it’s late here.

Or who knows what? I often realize what my inspiration was a long time after writing something.
Loved the picture too.

I agree. I so enjoy the creative process without necessarily analysing where it is all coming from, but it can be amazing later on when it hits you.
Thank you. That is in a beautiful town near where my parents live.

Dear Vanessa, this is beautifully written and wonderfully creative. If only we were able capture and preserve the beauty that’s dropped before it disappears. Reading this I couldn’t help but think of images from the movie, “Girl on the Bridge”. Certainly not the happiest of movies, there is however a bittersweet quality to the film that I find quite endearing, as I do your, “small-fonted moment”. ~ Mia

Mia, thank you so much! For taking the time, and for your generous comment.
I have never seen “Girl on the Bridge”, I will have to look it up.
